Interactive workshop on PPR with prospective partner organizations

December 04: PPAF’s Livelihood Enhancement and Enterprise Development (LEED) Group organized an interactive workshop with seven short listed prospective partners of Balochistan for implementation of “Program for Poverty Reduction” financed by Government of Italy with the objective of communicating key principles and socio-economic framework for implementation. The program will be implemented in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Ms. Shahnaz Rahat Kapadia, Senior Group Head LEED, briefed the participants about the program, adopting best practices, socio-economic framework and highlighted appraisal process which has been divided in three major parts; desk appraisal, field appraisal and interactive meetings with short listed partners.

Participants were given an overview of how PPAF intends to implement the program in an integrated manner. The overall socio-economic framework was explained and then one to one discussions were conducted with representatives of each prospective partner organization. During these discussions the representatives shared their ongoing work in the different districts and implementation plan.

Details about strategy for social mobilization and way forward focusing on Millennium Development Goals were also shared with the participants.
